Unfortunately, changing from UMULT:2 to UMULT:x2 only adds the x into the

Two comments - one not relating to this email. Those getting the UMULT:2
error, it seems that the syntax should be UMULT:x2. That's where the
error comes from, from what Bryan said earlier about how the tag should
work (and I didn't even DL the latest update yet).

About the message below: The problem with that is that after 1st level, a
Wizard gains 2 spells every time s/he gains a level, and can assign those
to any spell level they can cast. In theory, a 5th level wizard can
assign those all to 1st level - and know 0 2nd and 3rd level spells. The
number of options is kind of ridiculous, when you think about it.

The usefulness of hard-coding the "3+Int bonus" number of spells for a 1st
level Wizard isn't clear. I know quite a few DMs who avoid the rule
altogether, and hard-coding the number to simply give a suggestion to a
character is not clear to me, you know?

It's assumed that people creating characters know at least some of the
rules - otherwise they wouldn't even know what class to take. They should
know how many spells to select. At the same time, I agree the prog should
add all 0 level spells to the known spell list for Wizards.
