      NB: Using PCGen 5.16.1

I'm using PREDEITYALIGN as a standalone class prerequisite, using the (preferred) abbreviation syntax on the class line:

      MyClass<tab>PREDEITYALIGN:CG,CN,CE,NE,LE

When the prestige class becomes visible in the class tab, it generates these errors:

      13:30:42.3 SEVERE AWT-EventQueue-1 pcgen.gui.PCGen_Frame1$WaitCursorEventQueue d

        Hi,

        The correct syntax would be

        MyClass<tab>PREDEITYALIGN:1,CG,CN,CE,NE,LE

The error should be reported a bit nicer though :)

        Cheers,
        James.

          NB: doc's report my syntax:
          http://www.pcgen.org/website/autobuilds/pcgen-docs/listfilepages/globalfilestagpages/globalfilesprexxx.html#PREDEITYALIGN

Maybe this specific use (standalone) still requires the number format?
On the other hand, I just noticed that the exception reports the parsing of a null value. Maybe it can't find the Alignment of the Deity?

In any case: still looks like a bug to me....

No, not a stupid question at all. The first run, this was indeed the case. However, I found that out myself, and even when a deity is selected, the same error occurs. And it's a prestige class, so you should have a deity.

But even if it were a baseclass, listing the class should not generate an error like that.

The code that produces this problem was removed during PCGen 5.17 development in July, 2009 during a rebuild of Alignment comparison.

                  As a workaround in the 5.16 code base, you can use the numeric values of the alignments: 0=LG, 1=LN, 2=LE, 3=NG, 4=TN, 5=NE, 6=CG, 7=CN, 8=CE, 9=None, 10 Deity's Alignment

                  TP.
