I've got a few things in there I'm not willing to bend on (IDs,
lowercase, consistent application of elements and attributes, files
being conformant XML), but I am willing to listen to arguments and
suggestions about the rest.
If there *are* no comments, I'm going to continue, assuming agreement.
The examples.xml file posted is built around the guidelines in this
document; take a look at that if you want some concrete examples of some
of the simpler data types.
