Hi pedalholics of the mud and dirt kind,

This Sunday PCC is honoured to have Capt Azmy and the SBCC (Sungai. Buaya Cycling Club) leading us on a ride to check out their official MTB trail in Bandar Sungai Buaya, courtesy of arrangements by Noor Azmi (Azmie Orbea). A great riding location, according to John Chan, rivaling some of the best bashes in that part of town.

      Details as follows:

      Date:                Sunday 5th June 2011.

      Start Time:       8.30am sharp

Start Point:       Restoran Gaban, Bandar Sungai Buaya

                              (GPS: 3° 22' 20.4" / 101° 31' 38.5")

Meeting/Convoy Place:            Rawang KTM Railway & Commuter Station (Car Park Area)

                                          (GPS: 3° 19' 10.7" / 101° 34' 30.7")

Meet at here at 7.30am for convoy to Start Point at Bandar Sg. Buaya.

Direction : Use the NSE and exit Rawang 116. Pay toll, keep right and make a right turn at the traffic lights in direction of Rawang. Go straight on until you come to a flyover. Take a left turn down the flyover into Rawang town. The railway station is just round the corner on the left side and on right side across the road is Paparich Kopitiam (no more police station there). Azmie will be waiting for us here so watch out for a white colour worn off Isuzu D-Max Pick-up (WQG 4470). He will lead the convoy to the trailhead.

Ride Description : An XC ride over a variety of terrain comprising of 3 separate loops totalling approximately 35km +/- with numerous rolling climbs (what’s mountain biking without hills?) with the biggest gaining elevation of no higher than 500ft, so kacang only lah. And because you climbed, there will be fantastic rolling downhills awaiting you. Suitable for all levels of riders but you must have the basic fitness to cover at least 25km in case you need to chicken out. Be prepared for a 5-hour outing for complete ride, inclusive of rest/regrouping stops.

      Things to Bring:

      ·      A bike that’s in great working condition.

      ·      Usual spares including tubes and pump.

      ·      Sunblock in view of open sections and present hot weather.

      ·      3-litre water pack and your favourite trail food/snacks/energy bar and drink.

      ·      Mozzie cream just in case.

      ·      Personal first aid kit.

      NO HEMET NO RIDE!
