’85 CHANGE: The Patriots are reminding fans of a change in their plans to honor the 1985 AFC Championship Patriots on Sunday. Initially, the honor was scheduled
for halftime. It will now take place before the game. Patriots Executive Director of Media Relations Stacey James said the team is asking fans to arrive
early for the ceremony. Currently, 42 players and six coaches are expected to be in attendance. Former Patriots great Andre Tippett, who serves as the
team’s football development and promotions director, spoke of the ’85 squad with reporters today: “A lot of us feel special about being the first [Patriots]
team to make it to the Super Bowl. A lot us had an opportunity to play in the organization for a long time. It was a special year, 1985-86, for us.”
