***** Makes sense, since he's the only one with experience in our system. Tough to go for someone else with no time to prepare.
With Corey Dillon (ankle) likely a game-day decision and Patrick Pass (hamstring) unlikely to play against the Colts on Monday, the Patriots appear to have bolstered the position with Michael Cloud.
Cloud, who played for the team in 2003, walked through the Patriots' locker room on Friday. He declined comment when approached by reporters.
The Patriots have yet to
make an official announcement of any signing. According to AFC Information Manager Steve Alic, the team has until 4 p.m. ET on Monday to make a roster move, and have that player active for the Monday night game.
To officially sign Cloud, the Patriots would have to create another spot on their 53-man roster. While it might be unrelated, safety Arturo Freeman, who wasnt on the teams latest injury report, wasnt present at the start of practice on Friday.
