Re: [patriots] If I had a hammer ...
- Ever think they did not want to sign here? In Taylor's case the Pats had him once last year and lost him, then reclaim him this year, he plays well in the last pre-season game and gets cut again.Ebert just dropped too many passes.Mark Morse

LB Carpenter for WR Salas? Don't have a big problem with it because Carpenter has never been an impact LB anywhere he has played. Plus, as I have pointed out, Ninko at this point in a much better OLB than 4-3 DE which we have a lot of on the roster. Salas appears to be slow, and not quick, possession WR that Joshy boy had a hand in drafting. Not excited by either player.
Wasn't surprise Rivera made it. As a ILB he plays more like Spikes than the ones they cut. Saw Koutouvides miss a ton of tackles in pre-season and Tarp played more like a finesse guy. White was a surprise making the team from the tub but Pepper and company knows what he can do as a cover LB and ST guy.
Last word on Eglet OC Tennant as I've re-read my last year's draft stuff. Much like I said he lacks strength and a solid base. Might be better in a zone blocking scheme. Seen as more like Koppen than a solid OC anchor. 30 teams passed on him in the waiver process. My opinion is big NTs and DTs will rag doll him.
What's up with WR Sam Kirkland 5-11, 194, 4.47, Kent St. on the PS? Why not 7th rd DP Ebert or UDFA Taylor both of who impress me in the little I saw of them. Beginning to think McDaniels is a little weird when it come to WRs and RBs.
Where is my boy FB/RB Jesse Hester?
