I see what you both are saying, but it's SO hard
when it hurts this much. Remember 4 years ago we had that Jan Smyth on here
pretending to be a Pats fan but shoving the victory down our throats? That was
hard to take until Randy gave her the boot.
The players are devasted, the coach is devasted,
the fans are too and while I realize it's good sportsmanship to shake hands or
hug, it's really hard for me to come to grips with it right now.
I saw the coaches hug, but did TB shake with Eli? I
didn't see that and TB was really struggling to hold things together on the

WTF? Kick you when you're down? Then I'd be kicking myself too,
wouldn't I? Sheesh, Don. Try being magnanimous in defeat for a change. Try
being sportsmanlike. It feels good.
Thanks Mike, we can
always count on you, in the spirit of good sportsmanship, to kick us when
we’re down. You’re right on queue again.

In the spirit of
good sportsmanship, congratulations to the Giants on their fourth Super Bowl
Championship. What a game. It was like watching an instant replay of our last
Super Bowl with them. Or even our regular season game against them this year.
They keep it close, then they come down the field at the end of the game and
take it away from us, leaving us virtually no time to take it back. This time
Manning drove the Giants 88 yards and even managed to channel his magic David
Tyree moment of 2008 with a brilliant 38-yard pass to Mario Manningham. I knew
it was over after that play. But the karma seemed to have been set in place
when the safety occurred early in the game. Or maybe the karma was set in
place back in place in 2007 with the video-gate scandal — because we have not
been able to win a Super Bowl since then. In any case, the Giants really have
our number. And they're a great team.

[patriotzip] Frustrating Loss
could have been ... What should have been ... I don't know what is more
frustrating, the fact that so many of Eli Mannings passes were thrown high and
his receivers (especially Hakeem Nicks) were making spectacular grabs or Tom
Brady was so out of rythym, missing wide open receivers (Wes Welker is beating
himself up over not making the catch) or throwing behind receivers (Branch
twice) and not leading the reciever or just flat out underthrowing a
wide open Gromkowski that led to a crucual INT. I know our defense
is not great, but they played their asses off. The stupid play calling
that led to a safety (the actual difference in the game) and then the short
field after the punt. They just were not ready to start the game!
This has happened all year and we said it would bite us in the ass in the
playoffs and it did yesterday. Twelve men on the field when you get
a turnover to stop them ... Unbelieveable lack of discipline. Bama
brought it up earlier ... lack of fundermentals of how to cover a
fumble! That is one thing Coach Coconuts (Ray Berry) would practice
all the time.
think the most disturbing thing here is the Patriots lack of ability to throw
deep. This isn't about receivers too slow to go deep, this is strictly
about Tom Brady. He can't throw deep. Don't bother getting a big
receiver that can stretch the field. Brady can't get him the ball.
That is how the Giants beat the Pats, they packed the 20yards from the LOS
with 7 defenders and never had to worry about the deep sideline, seam or
middle passes. They rushed only 4 because Brady isn't going
anywhere. Perhaps its time to start looking at Tom Brady and correcting
the faults he has. If his arm is hurt, get it fixed. Tom has to
re-dedicate himself to Football they way he use to, because he is just not
that gifted an athlete to overcome his shortfalls. He needs to get back
into the gym and offseason workouts. get it fixed or the team will have
to start looking in another direction. This was all on Tom Brady's
