A killer false start penalty takes away what would have been a huge 1st down, and leaves the Jags in trouble. Again, it's plays like that which separate champions from the rest of the teams. Then Garrard, after being on target all night, misses a wide open Mike Sims-Walker.

The Colts came through with the big play for the TD; followed by the big play sack to stop the Jags.

The Colts - damn, I hate to say this - really are a great, championship football team. The Jaguars are talented, and have plenty of heart. But they lack that championship confidence and stability ... much like the 2009 New England Patriots.

Now 2:21 on the clock, and a 3rd down play for the Colts that could put the game in the bank for them. Jags need the stop to have one last chance. And ... HEY! The Jags D makes a play!

Come on, Jags! Prove me wrong. C'mon Garrard! Play like a champion! Show me the kind of clutch play that makes a season!

Garrard to Holt for 15, to the 47! Two minute warning! Will the big comeback FINALLY go AGAINST the Colts for the first time this season? (Can't close this note now. I've got to ride this report to the finish!)

Garrard misses open Holt on 2nd down. Overthrown. Nerves!

And there it is. Another overthrow by the QB who is NOT a champion. Colts get the pick. Colts win.

This game was a perfect example of the difference between the Colts and every other team. And, of course,  between Peyton Manning, and every other QB!

      George
