In any case, whatever his choice, he has nothing but the very best wishes from me. What a fantastic Patriot he has been!

      Chris Gasper is reporting in today's Globe that the Patriots are not
      planning to offer Troy Brown a contract for 2008. His sources indicate
      that he has already been informed, out of respect and courtesy, so he
      can seek other offers, if he wishes to. Personally, I hope he does not,
      and retires as a Patriot.
