Interesting points, while I don’t necessarily agree that it changes the outcome of the game, it does potentially.  This guy makes some incredibly good points that the officials screwed up big time, repeatedly.

Ah, but keep in mind the clock did tick down to 0 before Belichick walked onto the field.  The referee then put one second back on the clock.  Why?  Read Peter King's take on this in SI.com if you don't believe me.  Also, check out this guy's video.  Pretty interesting.  It talks about inaccuracies in the timekeeping on the Giants' final drive.  Perhaps BB was aware of this and felt hosed.

Is leading your team off the field before the game is over also "as far away from arrogant as you can get?"

Thanks for the info George...I really didn't follow him as head coach in Cleveland , sometimes don't really know who is doing what if they aren't with the teams I follow.

What made them hire him for the Patriots if he had a reputation as a lousy "people" person so to speak?? Just his skill with the football? Sure are glad that you were wrong..lol!! For me, I like him...the success speaks for itself and from what I read about the players, they like and respect him. The team isn't "I", it's "we" and that is about as far from arrogant as you can get.

Maximum effort wins the Super Bowls, that's for sure...I've read about the workouts that they do in order to get the maximum from their players. That's what bugged me about the "running up the score" charges and that it didn't "respect" the other teams. I thought the contrary..if you play your hardest, then THAT is respecting the other team and their possible talent.

How long has Kraft owned the team and what sort of respect do you have for him (anyone)??

***** You weren't in our group then, Susan. However, for those who were, I'll give you the "condensed" version, and avoid boring them to death.

***** Belichick had not done very well as a Head Coach in Cleveland , and, of most importance to me, was said to be a very poor manager of people. Most of his players, according to the press we read and saw, hated him. I went with the "leopard doesn't change his  spots" theory, and believed that Belichick was a great "X's & O's" guy, but that, as a lousy manager of men, he'd continue to fail as a Head Coach. Obviously, DEAD WRONG. He learned from his mistakes in Cleveland , and developed a method of managing his people which earns their respect, loyalty, and maximum effort. So, here we are, with 3 Super Bowl championships!

      George,

You really did think that BB would fail in New England ? What did made you say that or what did you base that on?

I actually might have been in the camp that said or wondered if Tippett would make the hall of fame...not really sure on that one.

Ed had part of his right..they DO have a good chance to win the next 3...they just didn't get it done this year. Next year he'll mak good on his predictions.

***** Well, I still have to claim the that title, Ed. I think my "Bill Belichick will fail here, just as he did in Cleveland " is still on top of the "bad predictions" pile on a big picture level! :-)

I can top you on this one sir.
I told a friend that I thought the Pats had a good shot to win the
next 3 SBs and that in fact they would.

So please crown me the world leader in bad predicting.
And for being the one that wrecked the mojo wagon.
