  • If it's a free edition from Serif usually their files are uneditable in other applications or that has been my experience you might try converting the gif to a tiff file to keep the transparency then see if it will open in Painter and if it does you can then save as a gif file if the gif format is important to you also you might even try renaming the gif file and see if that works...

  • you can't tell by the look but you can ask them by emailing the vancouver store. the real nib change came with intuos 4 because i had old nibs from a graphire tablet which was pre bamboo and they worked in the intuos 3 pen so 3 might even work but you would know for sure if you asked wacom -contact sales not technical support by email or toll free. Sales will tell you what you want...
