Re: [OLmws] My pop-ups don't work in Opera 9.5 beta
- Dave,I suspect that if you got hit by a metaphorical bus then your popups would stop working because they miss you. :<)You should report the cursor style bug to the Opera developers because you already have set up a test case for it.Fote------- Original Message -----From: dave_radoSent: Wednesday, May 28, 2008 5:00 PMSubject: Re: [OLmws] My pop-ups don't work in Opera 9.5 betaHi Fote

That fixed it, many thanks. Is this likely to be a one-off problem, do you know? I'm a bit worried about whether, if I got hit by a metaphorical bus and my website ceased to be maintain, there was any danger that as new versions of other browsers come out, the pop-ups might stop working in some of them as well - or was this problem only due to the fact that Opera is in beta, i.e. would the pop-ups have started working again on their own in the live version of Opera 9.5?
> Note that the last Opera 9.5beta I tried had broken opacity
handling, so the popup shadows were not semi-transparent, the FADEIN
and FADEOUT commands didn't work, and the MODAL command prevented
everything behind the shield from being visible. I filed a bug report
to the Opera developers about it, but don't know if they've fixed it yet.
Not yet, but I'm glad you've reported it to them.
Also, I've just discovered another Opera 9.5 bug. If you look at my web page at: http://tinyurl.com/63qdbt , all the thumbnail images on that page have: this.style.cursor='pointer';
... in their mouseover events, but the first time you hover over them in Opera 9.5, this is ignored and the default pointer is displayed. If you then move the cursor away from the image and back over it again, the cursor displays correctly as a pointer. Do you know whether this bug has been reported yet? If it hasn't, will you report it, or should I?
