      Hi,

      I have implemented Overlib on a page containing Drag & Drop
      functionality.

      (I have borrowed the source code for Drag & Drop from the following
      page.
      http://www.webreference.com/programming/javascript/mk/column2/index.html
      )

      Both functionalities work except after onmouseover and onmouseout on
      overlib, I am getting weird 'text selected' problem (the text down the
      mouse pointer will be selected when I try to drag the content) when I
      try to move any other content on the page.

      Please refer to the file posted under Files/vayumahesh to look at the
      screenshot depicting the problem.

      Here is the overlib code I have.

      <a href="javascript:void(0);"
      onmouseover="return overlib(ControlPointMouseOverText
      (document.getElementById
      ('imgControlPoint_#ThisMethod#_#MyMonth#').nameProp),CAPTION,'Control
      Point:',WIDTH,-1);" onmouseout="return nd();"
      tabindex="-1">
      <img id="imgControlPoint_#ThisMethod#_#MyMonth#"
      partOf="Method_<cfoutput>#ThisMethod#</cfoutput>"
      src="/main/businessProcesses/bpd/images/symbols/#MyControlPoint#.gif"
      align="absmiddle" border="0" width="27" height="14" />
      </a>

      Anyone know the fix for this problem ? Thanks

      Maheswar, You haven t provided enough information for us to reproduce and then rigorously diagnose the problem, but in general you should not have conflicts

        Maheswar,

        You haven't provided enough information for us to reproduce and then rigorously diagnose the problem, but in general you should not have conflicts with the webreference.com's Drag & Drop code if you:

        1.  Place the script block with the Drag & Drop code (or the script block for importing it) before the script block(s) associated with the overlibmws core module and any plug-in modules.  The Drag & Drop code is declaring:

        document.onmousemove = mouseMove;

        and the overlibmws core module will daisy-chain its own onmousemove handler to that handler, so both should work in tandem.  But I don't see offhand how any mousemove capture conflicts would cause the problem you are having.

        2.  Do not import overlibmws_draggable.js so that its onmousedown, onmouseup and select handlers will not conflict with the Drag & Drop code's handlers. But I presume you are not importing that plug-in module, and I can't think of anything else which might cause the problem.

        I don't know if your use of WIDTH,-1 instead of WRAP might be a factor, but I doubt that, too.  Also, I don't use Cold Fusion, so I don't know what the stuff in your img tag is doing.

        I wish I could be more helpful.

        Subject: [OLmws] Incompatability with Drag & Drop

        Hi,

        I have implemented Overlib on a page containing Drag & Drop functionality.

        (I have borrowed the source code for Drag & Drop from the following  page.
        http://www.webreference.com/programming/javascript/mk/column2/index.html
        )

        Both functionalities work except after onmouseover and onmouseout on  overlib, I am getting weird 'text selected' problem (the text down the mouse pointer will be selected when I try to drag the content) when I try to move any other content on the page.

        Please refer to the file posted under Files/vayumahesh to look at the screenshot depicting the problem.
        http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/overlibmws/files/vayumahesh/incompatabilityWithDranNdrop.JPG

        Here is the overlib code I have.

        <a
          href="javascript:void(0);"
         onmouseover="return overlib(
          ControlPointMouseOverText(
           document.getElementById(
            'imgControlPoint_#ThisMethod#_#MyMonth#').nameProp),
          CAPTION,'Control Point:',
          WIDTH,-1);"
         onmouseout="return nd();"
         tabindex="-1"><img
         id="imgControlPoint_#ThisMethod#_#MyMonth#"
         partOf="Method_<cfoutput>#ThisMethod#</cfoutput>"
         src="/main/businessProcesses/bpd/images/symbols/#MyControlPoint#.gif"
         align="absmiddle" border="0" width="27" height="14"  /></a>

        Anyone know the fix for this problem ? Thanks
