      Hello folks.

      I'm getting some very weird stuff happening since I upgraded to WindowsXP.

      HTML tags in overlib calls are causing unexpected errors.

      eg:

      <a href="mailform.html" target="_self";
      onMouseOver="return overlib('This is <b><i>our</i></b> button.<br>If you want to use it on <i>your</i> website feel free to \'nick\' it by right clicking.<br>If you <i>do</i> use it please click to email the webmaster and tell us about your website.')" onMouseOut="nd()"><img src="images/iancollins_button.gif" width="88" height="31" border="0"></a>

      Displays this in the pop-up:-

      "This is>our button ~ ~ etc." (NB The word 'our' IS rendered in italic bold)

      On view source I find the HTML has changed to:

      <a href="mailform.html" target="_self";
      onMouseOver="return overlib('This is><b><i>our</i></b> button ~ ~ etc (!!! Note the insertion of a > between 'is' and '<b>' . . . how is this occurring?)

      Yes I am uploading in ascii.

      No I have not experienced anything like this before.

      Yes I am absolutely certain that I am transferring the right file . . .. Using WSFTP to view the relevant file shows that the HTML is correct on the server . . . something is happening in the browser and I am stumped!

      I have solved the problem using < and > in place of <> but why do I need to? I did not need to do this before.

      Browser version: MSIE 6.0.2600.0000.xpclient.010817-1148

      Abby (desperate!)
