      Hi folks,

As some of you know, last May the "Quiet Airplane" folks held their first ever reunion at the OBA Ready Room. That gathering recounted the exploits of the QT-2s and YO-3A quiet airplanes and their experiences at night observation missions in Vietnam.  The reunion and their gathering in our Ready Room are recounted in the October issue of Popular Science magazine.  Interesting story of some unique airplanes.

Also, attached you will fins a press release for our OBA/FACM Forward Air Control Scale Model Contest and FAC Fly In, October 16th.  This event will benefit both OBA and FACM.  We hope to receive donated models for display when the FACM is built out.  It will also be an opportunity for folks to visit the OBA Ready Room and see presentations on the OV-10 and Forward Air Controllers.  We are anticipating several O-1s, an O-2 and other FAC airplanes.

Come on out and enjoy the fun, or better yet, dust off your old model building skills and make an entry.

      Cheers.
