Hi John, They are spoilers that aid the turning capability of the Bronco. For instance at max knots, the Bronco has a 500 turn radius. Regards, Jim

      Good Afternoon Everyone,

Just 2 questions about the quarter-circle vanes/disks that come out of the OV-10s wing when aerilons are at maximum deflection:

      These things:   http://www.scaleaero.com/images/Spoiler@...

      1)  If the (for example) right aerilon is fully down, then the vanes on the left (opposite) wing would be deployed full up?  And vice-versa?

      2) the photos I see of these always show them as being white.    Would that hold true for a VMO-2 -A model from the mid-1970s?   Wasn't sure if maybe they'd be painted red so they'd stand out more visually to show that they are deployed.

      Thank you as always!
      John

The spoilers on the OV-10 were installed to compensate for the short wing. Without them the adverse yaw would be very hard to deal with. They were always ready
