A "Y" prefix denotes prototype of a given airframe or evolution of the same. Until the airframe meets the criteria for which it was proposed
it will not typically be contracted for beyond the investigative developmental stage identified by a "Y" or in some cases an entirely different
identity other than it will later be identified by.
