Capones go 3-2 verses both Nashville and Chesterton and 2-3 versus Kentucky.
With the Kentucky games in already, that puts Kentucky just percentage points
ahead of both Nashville and Chesterton for the final playoff spot in the Metro
    League.

Kentucky pulls ahead again by a nose (.433 vs. .429) in the horse vs. ox race as Nashville goes 2-3 against the Pioneers and the Capones to finish 6-9 for September.

Close games against Kentucky as C.C. Sabathia won twice and the Pioneers rallied for 5 runs in the 9th in game 3 to win 6-5 on Scott Podsednik's 2-run pinch-hit single.  Then Nashville won one of the more exciting games of the season in game 4, 11-10 on a walk-off HR by Big Papi.  Ortiz also won game 5 of the Capones series with a walk-off 2-run homer, spoiling Justin Verlander's attempt to win 2 games in that series.  In game 1, Felipe Lopez was on base all 6 times as Chicago steamrolled Nashville, 17-3.  Game 2 was the most exciting game of the Chesterton series, as Nick Johnson and Matt Kemp homered in the 10th to give the Oxen a 12-10 win.  In another football-score game, Nashville took game 5, 14-9.

Fun season - thanks to Brian for all of his work keeping everything going, and good luck to all who will make the playoffs.
