    Game 1
    Lester and Haren battle
Abreu singles in a run in the 3rd but the Chauns come back with a Theriot rbi single
in the 4th and a McCann rbi double in the 5th to lead 2-1. Ziegler relieves Haren in the
7th and with 1st and 3rd 1 out and picks Cabrera off 1st but Loney drops Abreu's pop up
and ties the score at 2.  Pinch hitter Micah Hoffpauir with 2 out in the 8th doubles off Morrow and the Chauns add an insurance run in the 9th to take Game 1.

    Game 2
Sox come out angry and Delgado hits a 2 run homer off Billingsley in the 1st.
In the Third Jones hits a solo HR and Soto bangs a 3 run HR to send Billingsley to
the showers down 6-0. Lowe gives up solo homers to Granderson in the 4th and Loney in the 5th to make it 6-2. Sox get 2 more in the 5th and a Stewart solo HR in the 7th.
A single run in the 7th and 3 in the 8th makes it closer but Nathan shuts them down and the Sox take game 2.
    SOX 9  CHAUNS 6

    Series tied 1-1
    All yours Dave, good luck

Nashville apparently had the Coors Field winds blowing at just the right time in its first-ever Outlaws playoff appearance.

    Gilead at Nashville:

GAME 1: Two high-powered offenses went at it, and the Nine eeked out a 9-8 win in the opening "shootout".  It took every one of Nashville's 5 home runs to overcome the Gunslingers' attack.  The most dramatic one, a 3-run shot, came off the bat of Outlaws regular-season HR leader Adam Dunn to tie the game in the 4th inning as Nashville climbed back from an early deficit.  Supersub Ben Zobrist hit 2 home runs of his own and scored 3 times, while Denard Span paced Gilead with 3 runs scored and 2 stolen bases.

GAME 2: In game 2 it was a pitchers' duel between Gilead's Joe Saunders and Nashville's Hiroki Kuroda until the 7th inning when, tied 1 to 1, Josh Hamilton launched a 3-run HR, and the Nine went on from there to win 6-2.  Shin-Soo Choo paced the Gunslingers by scoring both of their runs and collecting 3 of their 7 hits as Nashville, representing the weaker  Charlie Hustle division, surprisingly hustled their way to an early 2-0 series lead.  Back to you, Scott!

P.S.  Scott - please bench Phil Coke for your home games as I forgot to do this on my f-file.  The intent is to use him for 2 or 3 batters per 7-game series, and I don't trust the micromanager to keep him under control.  Use the game 3, game 4, game 5 lineups as indicated; starting pitchers should be Pelfrey/Rodriguez/Kuroda.  Thanks!
