      HUMAN HEART

"By nature the human heart is pure, soft, warm; however, when
vice enters it, it gets colder, harder, darker. As milk turning sour
gets thick, less fluid, falsehood tightens the heart, its normally
flowing meekness is damaged by wickedness and malice. With
sin inside and the falsehood of the proud around him, the believer
even more convinced to hold on to God's commandments for in
them does he find support against his own sins and relief from the
      attacks of evil people."

~ St. Theophan the Recluse, commentary on psalm 118* ~

      * From Psalm 118, verse 70 ( based on the Septugiant version): 'Curdled like
      milk
is their heart; but as for me, in Thy law have I meditated

      LJUDSKO SRCE
Po prirodi ljudsko srce je cisto ,meko ,toplo ; ali kada strasti (gresne
      navike) prodru unutra ,
ono postaje hladnije ,tvrdje i tamnije .kao mleko kada se ukiseli te postaje
      ,gusce,manje tecno ,
lazi(prevare) otvrndnjavaju srce , njegov normalni protok smirenja je
      ostecen pokvarenoscu i zlobom.
Sa grehom unutra sebe i lazama(prevarama) oko sebe vernik je jos vise ubedjen
u drzanje Bozijih zapovesti ,jer u njima on nalazi podrsku protiv njegovih
sopstvenih grehova i odmor od napada
      zlih ljudi.
      iz psalma 118 red 70 .
