Re: [orthodox-synod] Do people realize what they're saying?
- Mr.Nikiforov was NOT propagating any personal thinking. He is
quoting the New-martyr Archbishop Andre of Ufa. Who under-
stood that Metr.Sergei's sin was against the Holy Spirit.
From the life of new martyr Bishop Gury where in his letter the
Christians asked the persecuted archbishop what they should
do? Whether they should attend the Sergianist churches or not?
He responded as follows: "If it is necessary, pray in your own
houses. One is not allowed to go to the Sergianist churches,
since they are anti-Christian."
Saint Archbishop Andre of Ufa, who was persecuted for not
signing Metr.Sergei's declaration, understood the significance
of Metr.Sergei's actions against the Church.
Sin against the Holy Spirit is an unforgiveable sin,
but maybe Fr.Alexander believes like Patr. Alexey II, who honors
Metr. Sergius Stargorodsky, that a clergyMAN can save the Church
and not only Christ Himself.
