Bishops rarely sign synodal documents. The anathema was
passed at a session of the Synod of Bishops. It was again
reaffirmed a few years ago. Those documents would be
      available from the archives.

JRS: If they did not write it, then who did?

The bishops did not, because if they had, they would have
      written it in
their own language, Russian (or Slavonic).

The text was in English, and had to be translated into
      Russian and
      Slavonic afterwards.

JRS: The bishops did not sign the anathema.
