Belgrade-Karlovci held meeting in the Belgrade on Monday, November 29. under the chair of Fr. Ljubodrag Petrovic the
president of this Serbian Orthodox Church largest youth organization.
The Board discussed last six months of work and activities of the St. Savva's Youth, the financial situation and 1999 budget problems, as well as future steps in developing youth ministry in Belgrade and Serbian Orthodox Church.
St. Savva's Youth Secretary Executive Mr. Milivoj Randjic reports to Board about two working meetings of the Board's
representatives with His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle. The Board expressed a joy for receiving His Holiness blessing
again, and decided to start the preparation process for the next General Assembly of the St. Savva's Youth. Board will communicate all preparation to His Holiness, according to His personal wish.
During the meeting Serbian version of the Internet presentation of the St. Savva's Youth was launched in the "cyber space". This presentation, available on the www.sozspc.org.yu, was fully prepared by the members of the St. Savva's Youth
Internet Workshop. The Serbian version of the St. Savva's Youth web presentation is just the end of the first phase of the
Orthodox Youth Network program, adopted by the '98 General Assembly of the organization and supported by His Holiness
Serbian Patriarch. Future steps will be English and possible Greek version of the presentation regularly serviced and enriched
with the materials. Special part of the presentation will be dedicated to the St. Savva, first Serbian Archbishop.
The Board has decided to publish St. Savva's Youth Community Newsletter, named according to the Christian dedication of the Belgrade, "The City of the Theotokos" ("Bogorodicin grad" in Serbian). The Newsletter should encourage active Youth Ministry and ensure proper presentation of the life and work of the organization. First issue will be printed in December, presenting 1999 St. Savva's work and general idea of future developing. In order to develop mission in the specific urban areas the St. Savva's Youth Community will start a special publication addressed to the Belgrade teenage population.
Humanitarian activities of the St. Savva's Youth were on the agenda of the Board also. It was noted that St. Savva's Youth, with the support of the Serbian Orthodox Church Humanitarian Found "Philathrophy", has delivered aid in approximate
value of 360000 DEM.
