The IRS is out of control. It has too much power and doesn’t seem to answer to anyone. We need to repeal the 16th Amendment and start over. The income tax has fanned flames of class warfare for 100 years. A free society should never have to submit personal information to a government agency without a warrant.
Isn’t it time to end the IRS? The IRS has made public thousands of social security numbers. The National Journal reported “The incident involves the unwitting exposure of "tens of thousands" of Social Security numbers, according to a recent audit by the independent transparency and public-domain group Public.Resource.org.”
The headlines at several news websites read “NBC: Obama IRS refunds 'Illegals' $4.2 billion for kids--in Mexico.” The IRS sends money for child tax credits to Mexico for children claimed on tax forms filled out by illegal aliens.
The corporate tax is a fundraising scheme for legislators. Daily Finance reported that “30 major companies spent more on lobbying than taxes.” Companies hire lobbyists to gain tax favors from legislators who then submit legislation to benefit the lobbyist’s clients.
No one likes the IRS or the tax system. Who wants to fill out tax forms? Who wants to keep tax forms for seven years? The IRS will be in charge of your personal health information. The Blaze reported that while seizing financial records from a firm “the IRS is already being presented with a case from a company that claims it stole more than 60 million medical records of more than 10 million Americans.” Why would it take medical records? Because it can.
The tax code is over 70,000 pages and growing daily. The temptation for legislators to change it is too high. Let’s shut down the IRS by repealing the 16th Amendment.
