Eric continues looking for Pam, and on his quest to find her, he frees the vampires from their cell blocks. That is when Eric comes in contact with Jason. He asks Sookie's drained brother if he's done spewing hateful comments about vampires, to which Jason replies that he is. Little does Eric know Jason's true feelings towards the blood-sucking race. Eric then asks Jason to lead him to the room where his friends will meet the sun, which is when the two find Pam's therapist being tortured by vampires. Eric commands them to leave and then threatens the plump psychiatrist. "You should have asked how you were going to die so you could prepare yourself," Eric says. The doctor replies that he doesn't care if he's killed because he's going to die a "happy man," revealing that he had sex with Pam in exchange for her release from solitary. Eric then tells the doc that he's going to let Pam kill him because "she earned the right."
While Eric continues his journey to save his friends, Sarah Newlin, who escaped being killed by vampires by hiding under her dead co-workers, makes her way to the top of the circular room where she intends to manually make the night-walkers meet the sun. Just as Sarah cranks open the ceiling, she sees that none of the vampires are sizzling in the light. That's when we see Bill being sucked dry by his fellow vampires, well, all but one. In Season 6, Episode 9, Steve Newlin meets his death after Eric refuses to let the tattling creature drink Bill's Warlow-fied blood. "Why?" Steve asked. "What did I do?" Eric replies that every time he's lost someone he loved the former reverend has been there. "I was weak, I won't be in the future," Steve begged, but Eric pushes Steve into the sun. The dying vamp then looks up at his ex-wife, Sarah, and yells his last words: "I love you
The vampires then walk out of vamp camp into the sun, high off of Bill's blood, where they begin breaking the poisoned bottles of Tru Blood. While this is going on, Sarah is trying to escape the sun-walking creatures. But that's when Jason catches up to her and tackles her to the ground. Jason grabs a hold of Sarah's gun and places it against her head. Sarah pleads for her life, claiming that God will punish Jason if he kills her. But Jason rebuttals, saying that while God is telling her one thing, Jesus is telling him another. "What's that big J?," Jason says, pretending to speak Jesus. "Yeah, I'll tell her -- you're an average f-ckin' lay." But Jason ultimately lets her go, claiming he doesn't want any more blood on his hands.
Speaking of blood, poor Bill was left near dead in the vamp camp. He summons Jessica to help him as Lilith's gang of blood-soaked broads attempt to take him away. But the baby vamp can't quite figure out what to do to help her maker. Thankfully, after what seems like hours of scrambling, her lover steps in and lets Bill drink from his neck to retrieve some faerie blood.
