Group Description

Traditionally an oral only group, we have opened our hall to our broader family. The Fellowship of Odin is a wholly independent Teutonic Traditionalist movement that developed unaware of other Heathens and Heathen organizations until the early 1990's. We see all Asatru as our brethren as well as other related groups inside of the Heathen umbrella, to include Norse Pagans, Seax, Hindis, Celtic Traditionalists, Greek Traditionalists and other groups of Dravidian or Aryan origins. Politically we tend to be middle of the road. Local units called, called Troths, may vary from a little left to a little right of center. Each Troth is independent and answers to no higher authority. However, from one Troth others flow and the parental Troth is responsible to its fledglings for aid and support. We hold strongly to the transferrence of material of a spiritual nature to oral tradition but are not, in general, folkish. We acknowledge, however, as this is the 21st century and that our membership is spread out over several continents that there is a need to have a format of communication which extends beyond the spoken word. We are neither racist nor sexist but do have some bloodline theology. We value the non-bloodline convert more highly than one born into it naturally. The gods have ways we do not always understand. This list is open to discussion of all things heathen though comments which are delivered with the intent of harming another or are well outside of Fellowship theology will not be permitted and may result in a banning from this list. Anyone interested in Odinism, heathenism, or our sister traditions is welcome. Wilkommen.
