Hi! My name is Sherri, I'm 27 and HD has been in my life since I was
      19. My mom was diagnosed then, follwed by the diagnosis of my
grandmother and one of my aunts. It has been one big roller coaster
ride from the very beginning. It started to come to a head last
summer, when my mother, in her depression, tried to take her own life
by swallowing all of her meds. My grandmother is in the final stages
of HD and mom couldn't take watching it, and says she couldn't put us
through it...I was just wondering if there is anyone else that has
had to deal with depression symptoms as (what seems like) extreme as
      my mother's have been?

        hi there,
thanks for email, hope u recieve this email ok, my email is
        vickibriggs28@... for future refrence.
i really feel for u, as huntingdons has been in my family as far back
as i can remember, my nan and her two sisters died of it, at moment
my mum is in last stages and my auntie has just been diagnosed.
i have never heard of the depression symptoms u have mentioned, my
family seemed to hit rock bottom and go down hill real fast, not
giving them much time to feel depressed.
i still worry for my mum and auntie, but i have actually been tested
and thank god, my test result was negative, which means im in the all
clear and so are my two children, but i really do feel for anyone
dealing with this dreaded disease, im 30, children are 9 and 11, im
from ramsgate, kent, england, please do stay in touch, i am always
hear for you whenever you need to chat to someone,
take care of yourself from tracy

phd. Most caregivers that I know are on antidepressant meds
themselves. Unfortunately, I know many people who have had to deal
with extreme depression. I have talked to people on-line who have
family members who have attempted suicide. Unfortunately, I have also
talked to people on-line who have family members (phd's) who have
            actually committed suicide. Very sad.

            Love, Steve
