Paul, My thinking, for what it's worth: Video ID is better than nothing for sure but I agree it slows things down and is much less effective than RSID. I was

So, a question on etiquette, I guess. In general I think the video ID thing is helpful (it certainly was key to getting me connected on my first Olivia QSO).

Another thing, TURN ON RXID/TXID. Chances are very low of someone figuring out what mode/submode you are operating in if you don't. I don't mean video id but

You can always adjust your passband to eliminate the lower frequencies. Actually if you have things set up right, you don't really HAVE to have audio turned

I like setting my dial at 20.073, so I don't have the constant drone of PSK-mode signals in the low frequencies. It gets bothersome sometimes, for me. 73 de

Set dial for 14.072, USB, sigs show up FM abt 14.073 on up, most stations are getting thru with 8/250 or Contestia 8/250. Condx have been poor for months.
