      Radio transmittors & equipment were confiscated to get the force out of the movement. Older article mentions: "...the first assembly of community and free radio of Oaxaca will take place in Villa de Zaachila on August 30 and 31..."

       (ehh.., remember the falsified story about the Mexican fisherman, who were found near New Caledonia after 9 months, making a 90% garbage soap story of the news -that Mexicans regretable like above real news- at the moment that Lopez Obrador had brought 2-2,5 million people at the Zocalo to protest against the election fraud: After 11 days news-soap destruction, he brought less than half the amount to the Zocalo)

      We will see, but I haven't seen that much of strategic thinking with scenarios and planning ahead on the side of the indigenas & allies before (& they lost the Oaxacan revolt partly because of that).

      Did anyone think about backlup transmittors and equipment + security for this important event? Or is the mass-effect of this event majorly nihilated?

      Oaxaca, México, 29 agosto- Elementos de la Policía Federal Preventiva (PFP)desmantelaron este viernes las radiodifusoras La Candente y La Rabiosa en el municipio mixteco de Huajuapan de León a unos 200 kilómetros al poniente de la ciudad de Oaxaca, informaron los afectados.

      El director General de La Rabiosa y coordinador de la Red de Radios Caracol en la región Mixteca y Triqui, Fredy Landa explicó que los elementos policíacos "llegaron sin una orden, ni notificación, sólo nos dijeron que si nos oponíamos traerían al agente del Ministerio Público".

      Explicó que este desmantelamiento se da en vísperas del Encuentro de radios comunitarias y libres que se realiza a partir de este sábado en Zaachila, un municipio que se localiza a unos 10 kilómetros al sur de la ciudad de Oaxaca.

      Agregó que "afortunadamente no se dio violencia, sólo nos amenazaron para no poner resistencia".

      Dijo "se llevaron el transmisor, el equipo de cómputo, mezcladora, todo, nos dejaron en ceros".

      Esta radio pertenecía al Centro de Apoyo Comunitario Trabajando Unidos (CACTUS) y transmitía contenidos educativos, culturales y sociales en esta zona indígena mixteca.

      CACTUS es una organización que se ha dedicado a asesorar a comunidades indígenas de la mixteca, entre ellas a San Juan Copala en la región Triqui, de donde eran las dos locutoras Teresa Bautista y Felícitas Martínez, asesinadas el 8 de abril pasado.

      Ambas locutoras trabajaban en la radiodifusora La Voz que rompe el Silencio.
