      ADHD manifests very differently across the developmental span from preschool to
      college. Samantha P. Miller, PhD, a clinical psychologist at the Child Mind
      Institute's ADHD and Disruptive Behavior Disorders Center, explains how to adapt
      your parenting and teaching strategies to the specific developmental stage of
      your child or student.

      Summer Intensive Treatment Programs at the Child Mind Institute

      The summer can be an ideal time to build skills and confidence for the coming
      school year. The Child Mind Institute is here to help with weeklong intensive
      programs to help children with separation anxiety and selective mutism.

      Camp Independence is a one-week intensive behavior therapy program. The camp is
      held near the end of summer to help children with separation anxiety disorder
      enter the new school year more confident and independent.
      August 6th through August 10th

      Brave Buddies is a one-week intensive program designed to prepare children with
      selective mutism (SM) for school. Using a simulated classroom, the program
      offers ample opportunity for the positive practice of "brave talking."
      August 20th through August 24th
