      Last evening we made a mistake and, unfortunately, did not allow Ms. Ellen McHugh in to the feedback session because she was not included on the RSVP.  We realized the mistake and attempted to invite Ms. McHugh to join us, but she had already left the building. Her fellow council member also attempted to call and ask her to return.
       
      This morning, I personally called Ms. McHugh to apologize. The responsibility of my office to engage parent leaders and families is our primary commitment.  As unfortunate as last evening's incident was, that commitment continues.
