NEW YORK REGIONAL HARMONY SWEEPSTAKES SET FOR SATURDAY, MARCH
16, 2002 AT
New York, NY (November 27, 2001): The Harmony Sweepstakes, a
cappella festival, returns this year to the Meeting Hall at New
for Ethical Culture for its 11th annual New York Regional
competition on the evening of
Saturday, March 16, 2002.
Sweepstakes brings the best aspiring vocal groups in the country
musical camaraderie and friendly competition. Winners of
competitions held in New York and around the country go on to

National Finals in San Rafael, California in May 2002. The
philosophy of the Harmony Sweepstakes is to promote "harmony
harmony," and although it is a competition, the events are always
and supportive, with an emphasis on creating memorable evenings
performers and audience members alike.
Past winners of the New
York Regional include nationally acclaimed groups
Naturally Seven (1999) and
The Accidentals (1995), both of whom went on to
Champions. Jeff LaGreca of the popular comedic group
Minimum Wage will
again emcee the competition this year. Producer Townsend
continues to spearhead the event, bringing on board staff and judges
performing arts, events and music industries. Notes Belisle, "We
forward to hosting another very entertaining evening, celebrating this
