To solve a problem with a yahoo site, I usually start at:
      http://help.yahoo.com

For example, one of the topics in their Q&A help section is "Recovering a lost or forgotten password"

This is also this separate "Help for Groups" link:

You might want to bookmark this link ... or you can get there fairly easily from the Yahoo help link at the bottom of your screen .... or the help link in the upper right of your monitor screen

Once there, use the arrow feature to go right/left through their menu choices ... one choice addresses "sending & receiving messages"

To change your email delivery, click on the choice for "Email frequency options in Yahoo! Groups"

That will address how to edit your membership:

      Customizing your frequency preferences

1.From your group's main page, click Membership | Edit Membership.

2.Next to "Subscription," click the Edit icon pencil icon.

3.Next to "Message Delivery," select your desired email delivery method: ◦Individual Emails: Messages are delivered one at a time to your email inbox. Attachments (if included and allowed by your moderator) will be sent to you directly.
◦Daily Digest: Messages are delivered in batches of 25 or daily, whichever comes sooner. Attachments are not available when using Daily Digest.
◦No Email (Web Only): Messages are only available to read on the web. Keep in mind, some groups may disable the "message archive" feature, meaning it is not possible to read messages on the web in those groups.
◦Special Notices: Only "Special Notices" sent by the group's moderator will be emailed to you.

      4.Click Save.
