There's an opportunity to play in a jam band on board PT658, the only remaining active PT boat from WWII, at the Rose festival on Saturday, June 8. Ron Taylor, of Corral Creek band is involved in the restoration project for the boat and is looking to round up some musicians who'd enjoy playing on board this historic vessel on Saturday, June 8.

PT658 will be the only Navy boat at the sea wall this year, and Ron hopes to attract some public interest in the restoration project. He'll bring sound equipment and hopes to have some pickers jamming sometime between noon and 6 PM. It will also be a good opportunity to give the OBA some high profile attention. Maybe a banner?

      Here's a link to the boat. http://www.savetheptboatinc.com/

As the boat has been undergoing some extensive hull repair, it's out of the water on a barge and will be floated down to the seawall for public viewing, tours, etc. If any of you pickers would be interested in this nautical adventure, it will be much appreciated!
