The 2nd great depression is taking it's toll across the nation. Many
small businesses are in trouble. This includes Artichoke Music. For
generations Artichoke has been the heart of folk music in Portland.
Now this vibrant community is struggling to survive. Lets rally
together and help Artichoke remain open.

      Artichoke Music Open House

      Valentines Day, Feb 14, 2010

      2:00-7:00

Please join us this Valentine's Day, Sunday, February 14 for a
benefit open house organized by friends of Artichoke to help
Artichoke Music keep its doors open. The goal is to raise the $15,000
that Artichoke Music needs to catch up on rent, insurance and other
      facilty costs.

There will be music from 2 - 7 pm. Performers will include Tom May,
Dick Weissman, Anne Weiss, Kate Power & Steve Einhorn, and many more!
This is a opportunity for the Artichoke community to celebrate
Artichoke Music and help keep it open during this difficult economy.

Admission will be $10. Advance tickets can be purchased at the store.

If you can't come to the show but would like to make a donation,
contributions can be sent directly to Artichoke Music, marked
      "Artichoke Benefit".

Note: this is a benefit for Artichoke's facility (concert hall,
school of music and shop) rather than for the Artichoke Music
Foundation, so donations are not tax-deductible.
