      Hi Jim,
      Other possibilities in Oroville are:

      Comfort Inn
      1470 Feather River Blvd.
      Oroville, CA 95965

      Phone: 530-533-9673
      Fax: 530-533-5862

       Free High Speed Internet.

      Days Inn Oroville
      1745 Feather River Blvd
      Hwy-70N & Oro Dam Blvd
      Oroville, CA, 95965
      Phone: 530-533-3297
I wouldn't recommend any other place here in Oroville although, the Motel 6 might not be too bad. Also, Chico is only about 20 - 25 minutes away from the event and has lots of decent places to stay.

      I hope this helps...

We’re coming in from over the hill for the NUTS Third Annual Gathering.  We had one recommendation for the Gold Country Casino but it is booked up for the 18th.  Any other suggestions on where to stay in town – close by to the event?

We attended the Saturday evening service tonight.  It’s just a little over 6 miles from home.  Think I got up to 20mph at one point ;-)  Every intersection had multiple car accidents.  Can’t be more than an inch of snow at the most but it is icy.  Even as slow as I was going I slid into the curb on an off-camber round-a-bout.  You could see many tire tracks up and over the sidewalks.

How’s the weather on the other side of the hill?  All white over in the Great Basin .
