Re: [NUTS] Oldest caches in Butte County?
- Hi Ed & everyone else...As far as "Trip Trop" & "Bidwell Cache", yes, they were under the same bridge, but on different sides, & at different time... The "Bidwell Cache" was the 1st cache that I ever did... It was 11-15-01... Laryssa went, but she didn't walk back then... I did get a picture of her teething on my 1st GPS... Then I did "Trip-Trop, Trip-Trop" on 6-07-03...TNX for the Trip-Trop down memory lane... lolJim----- Original Message -----From: nelson143@...Sent: Wednesday, July 14, 2004 6:29 AMSubject: Re: [NUTS] Oldest caches in Butte County?

Julie and I (and both dogs) did the first 4 stages of "Exodus Quest" 2
months ago, but Julie pooped out before the daunting final stage. I week
ago, I cleared all the old waypoints out of my GPSr, including the
coordinates for that final stage...grrrrrrr...good thing I have a good idea
were that next-to-last stage is! If it ever cools down (I'm thinking about
September!) we might actually finish it!
"Above Paradise" is archived, but with a find a while ago...would be
interesting to see if it is still findable.
"High Adventure is just a hop (okay, .02 miles) across the stream from my
"Deer Creek Falls" cache. Looks like is deserves it's 4.5 star difficulty
rating...have to try that someday.
ps: "Trip Trop" was our 2nd cache ever, and was cool because it opened our
eyes that not all caches are big 'ol tupperware containers...this game will
make you think! It was the same bridge (I believe) of the "Bidwell
