6088RE: [NUTS] Fwd: GeoWoodstock Playing Card Auction Begins March 2nd
- Mar 29, 2011The answer is neither. No, it doesn't help us to attend, and NO, don't think we'll be doing the hosting again! It does give us a bit of recognition in the world of geocaching. GeoWoodstock is a very expensive enterprise. Imagine hosting 5,000-10,000 people for a day of fun and frolick; it's a pricey effort. This is one of many clever ways of supporting the GeoWoodstock tradition.
To answer the other questions, we have enough cash in the kitty to bid on a card without passing the hat. And yes we are welcome to use the gold NUTS, my design, so no worries. I doubt anyone has asked Ol' Hippy about the use of the NUTS "wedge" as shown in our NUTS forum.
Again, I purpose we try for a joker using the two NUTS logo as attached, unless someone has a better idea.
BluCruz, as treasurer do you want to take the lead on this? Looks like we have about as much discussion as we're going to get on this. Would be great to hear from some of the "old timers" who put much of that cash in the kitty over the years. Just sayin'...

How does it help fund Geowoodstock, so that we can help people to
attend, or that we can host it ourselves?
