      Hello,

There is a limitation to the HTML Tool bar present in the last Note Tab Pro
version, with which I am not very happy, because otherwise Note Tab could
fulfil most of my needs in Web pages building :

That is the fact that when one presses the "link" (to file or Web site) icon,
there is no option to go find a file through the explorer, as for example there
is for the Image icons (with or without links). This means that if I want to
build a link to a page in the same site, using a relative path, I have to type
the whole path by hand, instead of letting the programme do the job, as it
      should.

The only solution would be to change the code of that clip, and offer two
      options under this icon :

      * link to url

      * relative link to a page, using the explorer.

Hasn't anybody felt the same limitation using NoteTab for HTML pages ?
Has someone build the missing clip ?

I think this feature should definitely appear in the next version of NoteTab.

      Pierre

        Hi Pierre,

        >* link to url
        >* relative link to a page, using the explorer.

This one should keep everybody happy, except for those that don't
like wizards. I had some others already, but was trying to use a
function for this that was hosing me up. Grant helped me out on
that on the beta list in a round about way. (I do like his
method better though than mine dues to the folk that uses spaces
in the web paths.) I found out the reason I was having a problem
was because if ^$GetRelativeName(...)$ is used with quotes around
the path to the file when no BaseDir is used that it does not work
        at this time.

Is there a proper name for what I refer to as a "Disk file
(file:///)" path below beside double ugly? ;)

The first ^!Set line is very long and all the ^!InsertWizardHTML
lines. You can probably get away with using Join Lines for each
command. It appears Eric did some work on the way they get
joined - spaces don't seem to get added anymore in places you
        don't want them.

NoteTab's "limitations" are only in the beholder's eyes. ;)
NoteTab is the least limited editor that I know of. That is one
of the reasons for its ever growing popularity and up to this very
day, the webmaster's number one choice of HTML editors.

You mentioned in another post that Eric should add the image
browse button for the Clip. I agree. However, I have asked in
the past for him to make the output the relative path and he did
not want to because he said he does not suspect that most people
have mirror sites on their disk. If he changed it, you can be
sure enough that we would have just as many requests to change it
back as we do to change it to relative path.

I'll post this Clip and single ones for just a file or image up
on Snatch-A-Clip some day since a Relative path output is such a
high requested item. I normally drag/drop from Quick List myself
and just select everything up to the filename then type../image/
        over the selection.

        Happy HTML'n!
        Jody
