I think the following is wrong:

      <CENTER><IMG SRC="Unionpix.jpg" WIDTH="^1" HEIGHT="^2" BORDER="0" ALT="Union
Grove School at Hazen, Arkansas 1934-1935"><BR><BR></CENTER>

      and should be changed to:

      <CENTER><IMG SRC="Unionpix.jpg" BORDER="0" ALT="Union Grove School at Hazen,
      Arkansas 1934-1935"><BR><BR></CENTER>

      Martha,

I just tried to go to your site, using Internet Explorer 5 as provided with
Win 98,2nd Ed. and I only got the dreaded "This program has performed
an illegal - - - -Etc. and will be closed."

Thank you, Jody! I'll try this when I get home tonight. One question though: Just how did you come up with 659 x 473? Is there some kind
of formula for photos? I've seen where people have thumbnail photos and then you click on it to see the entire picture. Hope to use that
when I figure out how because I have lots of county photos. I've uploaded a couple of things with the column index clips you sent and am
working on the cemetery list now. It got bumped back by a few other things I wanted to get online.

Thank you again. I appreciate your help.

          Hi Martha,

Make sure you see the part below about NoteTab.

          >question though: Just how did you come up with 659 x 473? Is

I downloaded the image, clicked on it which opened it in I_View
which I use for quick viewing, hit the "I" button, and got the
          dimensions.

          >I've seen where people have thumbnail photos and then you click

If you are limited in funds there are a few decent Freeware image
editors out there, even I_View which is very small and fast will
make thumbnails. If you want a full blown one, but a bit buggie
from what I can tell GIMP for Windows looks good. For your
purposes though it is probably far more than you need. I think
you would be happy with something that could crop, resize,
brighten/darken, change color, soften... I think something like
Embellish or the older Freeware LView are good starters.

          Embellish
          http://www.dadaware.com

          LView
          ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/garbo/garbo_win/graphics/lviewp1b.zip

          20/20 has a bannerware editor.

See the thread on image editors for the best Shareware made.

Got hosed up (corrupted) is what I meant to say. Make sure
everything is correct in NoteTab's Options under Internet. That
is where the ^1 and ^2 is coming from. It is what Eric uses to
get the image height and width when you drag/drop an image from
the Quick List into the HTML doc. You can use this below. change
the case if you want, but leave the rest.

          <IMG SRC="^*" WIDTH="^1" HEIGHT="^2" BORDER="0" ALT="^&">

Once you get that fixed you can drag/drop the images from Quick
List next to your existing code, cut the good dimensions and
paste over the "WIDTH="^1" HEIGHT="^2"", then delete the one you
just dropped in. If you have many dozens of them I suppose I
could build you a script to help out when I can get the time.

          Happy HTML'n!
          Jody
