Thank you for the information but I do have one question for you if
you don't mind. I was wondering if NoteTab is something I have to

NoteTab does not edit images at all. NoteTab is a text and HTML
editor. You can use any text editor to write HTML code. However,
I suggest you use NoteTab. :-) There are a freeware and shareware
versions. (www.notetab.com). The Pro version is best for HTML,
but the free Light version works fine; it just doesn't have the
bells and whistles (recommended;) that NoteTab Pro has. I'm not
sure what all still works below, but some of it will help you
        with NoteTab and HTML.

I just downloaded and I am really confused on how to use it. I was
wondering if there was a way I can email you or if you have Yahoo
Instant Messagner, we can chat that way. If you do have it, my
screen name is SlKtchn or if you have AOL Instant Messagner, my
screen name is Dopey23. The reason why I suggested that is because
it might easier if I am chatting w/someone showing me how to use
NoteTab. If you have any questions feel free to email me or look me
          up.

            Andrea,

Until Jody can get back to you, I'll give you a few NoteTab/list pointers.

First of all, there are several different user lists where you will get tons of help for the specific aspects of NoteTab that are important to you simply by sending an email and asking a question. I will list them below and suggest that you subscribe to the Basic, HTML, and Offtopic Lists to start with.

Second there are various options as to how you monitor the lists. You can get individual emails, a daily digest, or no email and just go to the online archives and look for what is happening. In the beginning I would recommend individual emails until you get the hang of things and then decide whether you want to change to another option.

            Just go to

            http://login.yahoo.com/config/login?.src=ygrp&.intl=us&.partner=&.done=http%3a//groups.yahoo.com/mygroups

and sign in using your Yahoo email ID and PW and you will see all of the lists that you are presently subscribed to and the options available to you. If you don't have a Yahoo email account, you will need to sign up for one to use this approach (it is free). BTW, don't sign out, just close your browser and the next time you go there you won't have to sign in.

To go directly to the individual archives (list web page) you can use the following URL's.

            http://groups.yahoo.com/group/notetab/messages
            http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ntb-clips/messages

To give you a basic NoteTab starting reference, you might like to go to

and download the intro for newbies and read through it. There is also an HTML tutorial there that you might find helpful.

Lastly, in general, we don't use IM on the lists but if you go to the list and ask, you might find someone who has time to go one on one with you to solve a specific problem. However, putting your questions to the entire list will usually get you the most information in the shortest time and usually from several different points of view.

I hope this answers a few of your questions and helps you get going with NoteTab.

And in case it doesn't, just ask again and someone will answer your specific question. :-)

            Regards.

            Jim

              Hi Andrea,

              (Thanks Jim;)

I wish I had the time to be more active like I use to be, but so
many things have come up that I just don't have the time.

Try this: open a txt file in NoteTab. Click on the Modify menu |
Document to HTML | No Character Conversion. Next, click on the
globe looking icon out to the right on the Toolbar. After the
page loads in your default browser switch back to NoteTab. Do
the image thing by pressing F6 and following the instructions I
mentioned before drag/dropping a file from the Quick List into
your document. Click on the globe again and see the difference.
Click on the HTML Library found at the bottom of the screen and
go down to Block Formatting and Character Formatting. Select
some words and click on some of the Clips in those sections. Go
to the site below for more very basic help to get you started.
