      Why don't You use

      <TD align="centre" width="5%">___</TD>

      instead of

      <TD align="centre"
      width="5%"><U>      </U></TD>

      Seems to me it does the same thing.

      And why use (relative) width, anyway? The column will be as wide as
      necessary, and no wider, won't it?

      <TD align="centre">___</TD>

      And why center the cell content, which makes no difference, as far I
      can see?


      That's 13 versus 79 chars ...
