  • Thanks again. I thought there might be a regex way to do it. Since so much text is delimited these days with tags, commas, brackets, etc., I would expect to see a NTP command for selecting a block of delimited text and embedded blocks. Maybe something for version 8.

  • What is the best way to select the text between (and including) the first open parentheses and its associated last parentheses? • Thanks Axel. Your suggestion of GetLong works. Still, I find the NTP behavior rather buggy (inconsistent and unexpected). Perhaps NTP can fix the bug in a future version.

  • I used the ^$GetTmpPath$ command in a clip on a laptop computer with Windows 7 64b. It reported the temp path as C:\Users\DAVIDH~1\AppData\Local\Temp\ which is not correct. The correct temp path is C:\Users\David Hayes\AppData\Local\Temp\ which is reported by both Windows Explorer and when I right-click on an open document saved in the temp folder and select Copy Name. The...

  • Is there a (hopefully easy) way to obtain the following information via clip command? 1. The size of a folder or drive 2. Used and free space on a drive I see that such information is readily available for individual files, but not so for whole drives and folders.

  • Many thanks John, Flo, and Axel. Your ideas are more than I imagined were possible. My end goal is to create a printable character-based box with no, one, some, or all sides missing. I plan to use these boxes to create a maze game just for fun. I fear that I may need to create a true-type font, or find an existing text font with box production extended characters. Any ideas?

  • I noticed that the 'Underline title' clip in the Utilities library that comes with NTP uses the extended ASCII code 196 as an underline character. This ANSI character is not on a standard keyboard. Few if any are. How can I input this or any extended ASCII code or character into my NTP documents?

  • Works perfect. Thanks Flo. I had hoped that my original post would be read by the authors of Note Tab Pro, and that they might update the applicable clip commands to improve the language. Otherwise, we must write extensive clips to get these simple tasks done.

  • I get undesired behavior from the Attr and SortingOrder parameter of the subject clip function. For example, I desire to get files that have only the 'A' attribute set. However, when I specify the 'A' attribute, I get files with 'A' and any combination of 'R' 'H' and/or 'S' attributes. I need some means of excluding files with unspecified attributes from the get file function. For...

  • The subject clip command uses an RSA dll, and requires a password. What is the max, min, and optimal lengths of the password? Given RSA's vulnerabilities, do NTP developers plan a more secure encryption algorithm? Perhaps something like 256 AES?
