      Sheri and Alec are right -- my Clip works with NT5 only. Sorry for
      overlooking that John is still working with v4.95. I don't have that
      version installed any more. So I can't test Alec's solution.

      By the way -- I think we could also omit the checking for empty line
      and, in NT5, reduce it to...

      ^!Select All
      ^$StrSort("^$GetSelection$";0;1;0)$
      ^!Replace "(^.+)(\r\n\1)+(\r\n|\Z)" >> "" AWIRS

      This should work with or without empty line(s) at the end of the list.
