3196RE: [NTO] File Open dialog in 2K
- Jun 28, 2002Lotta,
I often find the new "Places Bar" in the file Open/Save dialogs useful, but then I've substituted more useful "places" for the ones supplied by Windows. The TweakUI power toy will let you specify your places or hide the Places Bar altogether, just click on the "Open" tab.
Given that you're a fan of "clean" interfaces you'll probably like many of the other things that TweakUI will do - it will turn off a lot of the Windows fluff and flash.
Win/XP has it's own TweakUI:
TweakUI for Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 98 or Windows 95:

wallpaper - I like it clean and boring. Thanks for trying to help anyway. :)
