  • Hi, A friend of mine had problems with unslung 6.8 and I had a look at this system. Unslinging works fine, but when rebooting it does not swivel through to the hard disk. I've instrumented linuxrc and noticed something odd. Even after 20 seconds the test for /proc/hdd_sdb fails. Then at some point during my debug session I added an ls -l /proc/hdd* >/LOG to linuxrc (immedately...

  • Hi, Just tried to unslung an nslu2 for a friend. During this I encountered the following problem. Initially unsling did not work because the drive was not mounted. No idea how this happened, but that very same problem was mentioned on the wiki. After reflashing 6.8, unsling disk2 works. However after that when rebooting with the disk present, I do not pivot to the new disk...

  • h8dc: Not necessarily. I did a make update on saturday afternoon without problem. However on sunday evening this did not work any more. I reported this on irc, but on monday 8 pm it still did not work for me. (all time references are GMT+2). Also the head does not build. I saw problems with util-linux, base-files and dropbear. Did a clean build (removed tmp) but that did not fix...

  • You might be able to do this, but I would strongly suggest writing an img file using the tool upslug2. See the wiki for details. Frans

I've updated linphone with your bb file and added it also to the slugos packages, so it will show up on the head. I would appreciate it if you could write a wiki page on linphone configuration and usage on the slug. Frans.

Just build flite (1.2) using the already present bb file. Tested it, works like a charm to me. Added flite to the packages list, so it will appear on the unstable feed in a day or so. Frans

  • audio was not working for the latest developemnt head, due to a bug in gcc. I've added a patch (from the gcc archive) to gcc 4.1.1 and checked that in. After rebuilding gcc the kernel should be rebuild and module-snd-pcm should be reinstalled and reloaded. After that speaker-test worked for me. As I am not sure if this same gcc issue introduced problems elsewhere, I also suggest a...

There is already a bb file for it. Currently I am facing the same alsa problems with the head that you have . (the sound does not work and speaker-test gives me: Broken configuration for...
