rootfs not started from the memory stick

    Hi all, I have done following steps: 1) flashed succesfully to unslung 5.5. 2) on my Linux box manualy formated 512MB USB memory stick as followed (fdisk):

      I have done following steps:

      1) flashed succesfully to unslung 5.5.

      2) on my Linux box manualy formated 512MB USB memory stick as followed
      (fdisk):

      Disk /dev/sda: 513 MB, 513802240 bytes
      16 heads, 62 sectors/track, 1011 cylinders
      Units = cylinders of 992 * 512 = 507904 bytes

      /dev/sda3 883 1011 63984 82 Linux swap

      3) started NSLU2 (no disks attached!)
      4) telnet in as root (password uNSLUng)
      5) attached USB memory stick
      6) formated using Linkys WEB interface
      7) restarted the NSLU2 (no disks attached!)
      4) telnet in as root (password uNSLUng)
      5) attached USB memory stick (disk was recognized and mounted)

      # df

      6) unsling succesfully

      # /sbin/unsling disk1

      Copying the complete rootfs from / to /share/hdd/data.
      19017 blocks
      Linking /usr/bin/ipkg executable on target disk.
      Creating /.sda1root to direct switchbox to boot from /share/hdd/data.

      7) rebooted with the USB flash disk attached
      8) telnet in as root
      ====================

      No directory, logging in with HOME=/

      9) rootfs was not loaded from USB flash disk

      Can you help me and suggest, which step I am dooing wrong?

          I believe that this part should be put in the last part of the
          README. It will give so much frustration to users who have strictly
          followed the README and still cannot get their disks unsling and boot!!
