Conf partition read-only?
- Hey chaps;I'm running unslung 4.20 beta.Recently (can't be sure since when), my slug has been mounting /share/hdd/conf (/dev/sda2) as read-only.The dmesg log states:journal_bmap: journal block not found at offset 268 on sd(8,2)
Aborting journal on device sd(8,2).
EXT3-fs abort (device sd(8,2)): ext3_journal_start: Detected aborted journal
Remounting filesystem read-onlyIf I fsck.ext3 the drive (both /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda2 partitions, in fact), either on the slug itself or by removing the drive from the usb enclosure and plugging into a spare channel on my PC, it reports an error and fixes it. At least, I assume it fixes it, and rerunning fsck.ext3 no longer reports that error. But the next time the slug reports, it again mounts /dev/sda2 as ro. Any ideas? The drive is less than 12 months old so physical wear is (hopefully) very unlikely. As a second question, would it be possible to modify the fstab to ALWAYS mount /dev/sda2 as "-o sync"? If so, how can that be done (I'm guessing that I couldn't do that in /etc/rc.d anywhere as /share/hdd/conf has already been mounted by then? could I modify /linuxrc instead?)cheers..d
