      Some drives, expecially flashdisks take a loooong
      time to be seen by
      the slug. This causes the drive to be unavailable as root.

      The
      current linuxrc waits a maximum of 20 seconds for a drive to be
      recognized. The maximum can be increased without affecting the boot
      time for faster drives.

      If you experience this problem, edit
      /linuxrc.
      Find the line that reads

      cnt=20

      Change it to

      cnt=80

      This has worked for one flashdisk user.

      Please report if you need
      to set it even higher.
